The richly detailed illustration from Quantum Mechanix features a wealth of information on each colony– everything from population stats and local attractions to pyramid team names and brief histories.

One year in the making, the Map of the 12 Colonies of Kobol was developed in collaboration with Battlestar Galactica co-executive producer (and executive producer of Caprica) Jane Espenson, whose signature appears printed on the map. The full-color map measures 39-inches wide x 26-inches tall and is printed on 100-pound satin-finish paper. Dr. Kevin R. Grazier of NASA and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, who was science adviser on Battlestar Galactica and co-author of “The Science of Battlestar Galactica,” served as science adviser in the making of this map. Hollywood graphic designer Geoffrey Mandel created the map from scratch, making countless revisions as the technical data underwent painstaking scrutiny.
